behind the Rest Rooms

just a few
yellow leaves on the tree --
wind chills my bald spot

lipstick
on his coffee mug -
steam rising

opened
ice cream carton --
only the fudge swirl gone

jack-o-lanterns
sag beside trash cans --
election day

9/11 plaque --
the double amputee's
phantom pain
