William, When you've peeled as many hardboiled eggs as I have, you know how wonderful the feeling is when an egg peels easily (and the shell doesn't have to be picked off one tiny piece at a time). But, that moment of joy is tempered (for me at least) by the knowledge that the next one may take a few curses and a lot of aggravation, before I can continue fixing my sandwich or salad.
