Great haiku - and I love the photo. I found your site about a month ago. What a find! I learned a lot about what haiku is and isn't - and it was the light bulb turning on in my head that I needed. Is Miner's Farm anywhere near the old Pine Grove Dairy in Duanesburg? That farm was owned by my husband's relatives at one time.

Hello, Nan. Thanks for you kind words, and your posting about haiku and f/k/a. (I retired that weblog two months ago, after six years of haiku and lawyer punditry, but am happy that the archives still get almost a thousand visitors a day.)

I'm not sure where the Pine Grove Dairy is located. My friends the Miners are on Western Turnpike, nextdoor to the Jevhova's Witness hall. I'm an in-town kind of guy, mostly.

I was just wondering. I am not from that area, but I know that the old farmstead can be seen from the highway - perhaps it is Route 7? or 88? Immaterial, really. I just thought it was a "small world" moment to see mention of Duanesburg. Best wishes.

Nan, I thought I had answered your last question two years ago. Sorry for the mix-up. If you do not know yet, the Miners' place is on Western Turnpike, which is U.S. Rt. 20.
