Hi, again, Bandit. Many thanks for your kind words. Sorry that I did not notice your last comment until just now. Yes, duty happens, and yard patrol is an important part of the rituals of spring (I learned that at 12 years old, the first spring after we acquired my first dog). It's also damn important to us backyard bocce fans.
You can often find me at my neighborhood park cursing irresponsible dog owns, who find their way into poems like this one from mid-March at my simply senryu weblog:
